$3,000 worth of tobacco products stolen from gas station, police say


MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Officers are looking for two suspects who they believe broke into a gas station and stole tobacco products.

MPD responded to a burglary call Feb. 6 at the 800 block of Mt. Moriah Road in an Exxon in East Memphis. When they arrived, they found broken glass from the gas station window.

When the owner arrived on the scene, he told officers that approximately $3,000 worth of various tobacco products had been stolen. In CCTV, two suspects were seen stealing two cases of Redbull energy drinks, cigarettes and other tobacco products.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Police said the first suspect was a thin black man between the ages of 25 and 35 who was about 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, orange safety vest, red gloves, black hoodie and black pants.

The second suspect is a black man between 45 and 55 years old, about 1.50 meters tall. Police said he was last seen wearing a black hoodie with white writing and black pants.
