JRE Tobacco Co.’s Aladino brand will receive a new line of cigars this month, as the company announced the Aladino Classic, a Honduran puro made from company-grown tobacco.
The mix would feature a wrapper and a filler of habano seeds, while the binder will be a corojo seed. It is manufactured at Fabrica de Puros Aladino SA in Honduras and will be offered in four sizes:
- Aladino Classic Corona Classic (5×44) – $7 (box of 20, $140)
- Aladino Classic Robusto (5 x 50) – $9 (Box of 20, $180)
- Aladino Classic Toro (6 x 50) – $10 (Box of 20, $200)
- Aladino Classic Gordo (6 1/2 x 60) – $11 (Box of 20, $220)
The first batch of cigars will be distributed in mid-May to a small group of retailers who have visited the company’s farms and facilities. It will then be made available to other retailers at the PCA Convention & Trade Show in July, with those stores receiving their orders shortly after the show closes.
The company announced the Aladino Classic via cigar loverbut has yet to respond to an email requesting additional information and confirming the accuracy of this report.
